Economy Updates and moving forward

After receiving all the feedback from new and old players alike, I have decided to move forward with the proposal previously presented with a soft economy reset. Here are the main considerations to note.

Users with significant balances (over 150k) have had part of their balance converted into Gems
Everyone’s balance has been reduced by 90%. If you had 1mil, you now have 100k.
Most Lands bank balances were low so I elected to leave them in tact which will allow you time to gather additional coins for increases in lands taxes cost.
More info on how to spend Gems and obtain clue scrolls will be coming soon in a separate post (hopefully Sunday or monday)
I have added a founders pet to everyones /pets inventory. If you don’t see it, let me know. The cutoff for this pet was to join as of yesterday or older.

The Jobs formula has been completed overhauled and you should now be earning cash much quicker than before. You also get rewarded based on your average skill level. The higher your level, the more coins you have the potential to earn.

Please provide feedback on this as you use it and we will make sure that it is paying out fairly.

Now I want to address something else… Will we be resetting the economy again if the economy gets out of control?

Short Answer: No

My intention with this server is that we make it a “forever world” meaning no resets to the world, no “seasons”, its an ever growing living world.

We may increase the world border in the future to accommodate for new world gen in future versions, but we won’t reset.

With the economy, we have learned a lot about how it can or should work in our 3 month beta phase. I feel like we are coming out of that beta phase now so I have begun removing that terminology from the server. The changes we are making to the economy now are hopefully setting us up for success in the future and for the long term longevity of the server.

That doesn’t mean we wont ever make tweaks or adjust the economy, it just means that we now have a clear vision and direction for how to handle the economy, that will not require another reset in the future.
